History of Essie Mae and our Foundation:

Written by, Gail Lawson, President and Founder

Our history begins with my grandmother Essie Mae, her teaching of a giving heart with humanitarian hands.  I was taught to believe in the power of good, to bring people together at a very young age. Inspired by my grandmother's legacy, I became pationately committed to helping others, especially children.  Our purpose is to serve, and value children's educational futures.  This is why we need your help.  Please help us give our young children the school supplies they need to succeed, otherwise there will be educational failures right out of the starting gate.  Every decision we make at the Essie Mae Good Deeds Foundation is led by our passion to make sure that every child has the tools they need to perform in a classroom setting.
